Without making this sound like a hopeful request, I hope you guys at Illuminati get round to translating it one day.

I have seen the Dog Soldier OVA, but it's a terrible letdown.

Oh, if it were up to me we'd do nothing but Saruwatari stuff. I love the man. I've been buying his older stuff as I see it. I've bought Koukou Tekken-den Tough vols 1 to 24, Damned volumes 2-3, Dokuro volumes 1-4, Tsuukai Abare Bun-ya, Dog Solider volumes 1-3, Kizu Darake no Ninsei volumes 1-7, Igyoujin Oniwakamaru vols 1-3 and The Hard vols 1-4 + 7 other misc volumes from the series.

The only problem is the translator who did Riki-Oh, Molokidan, is busy with real life stuff and other projects currently.

Problems are to expected, so I'm not going to act like a selfish dick and make a one-man demand for something. Still, kinda surprised at times at how Saruwatari is still in business, the man is completely anti-moe, looks like he's on the current "good side" of manga today.

Well, when he was younger in the late 80's & early 90's, he drew a lot. He made mangas to a specific demographic, and to be honest, there were a lot more senseless-violence-type of series than there are now.

In the last decade and a half, though, he's catered to a more popular (and therefore less violent and ridiculous) demographic in drawing his Tough series (Koukou Tekken-den Tough, Tough and Oton). He's done some side projects in that time like Dokuro, Igyoujin Oniwakamaru and Kizu Darake no Ninsei but they really can't compare to the awesomeness and brutality of his old school stuff.

Dog Soldier & The Hard in are particularly awesome.

I've only seen a French-dubbed OVA of Hard, would you say N.Y. Dust is a bit of a prototype for that?

Yeah, it's quite literally the pilot.

The Hard takes place shortly after the events in NY Dust.

(Tiny spoiler) The series starts off with the main character bounty hunting to pay off his divorce bills because of the events at the end of NY Dust.

Ah, so I guess he just gave Turkey a re-design?

Hell, is the character still called Turkey?

I think Turkey is his nickname, yes.

The character is more or less the same from the oneshot.
